Salford residents will be able to explore all of the city’s hotspots this November as a part of a Twilight Photowalk.
The photo opportunity will be led by ‘Not Quiet Light’ as they will be hosting a walk that will allow residents to explore Salford at night.
The walk will begin on November 30, and will encourage people to meet at Greengate Square on Victoria Bridge Street on November 30.
The photowalk will continue from 4pm until 6pm, and will finish near The Eagle Inn on Collier Street.
The photography company Not Quite Light, will lead photographers of varying ability to get involved in the walk.
Throughout the walk, they will encourage those in attendance to “bring your smartphone, DSLR, or no camera at all if you just want to enjoy the walk.”
Tickets to attend the photowalk, at cost of £12.60 (including booking fee), and each walk is limited to 15 people.
The walk will encourage guest to set off just after sunset “on an informal stroll around the local streets, and look for the many photo opportunities that the old and new architecture present.”
And will encourage guests to see as much as they can, “with the new buildings emerging from the old streets, and the pools of light cast by the streetlights will enhance the autumn atmosphere as the sun sets.”
Not Quite Light makes work with photography, film, text, audio, music and performance, leading to numerous commissions including Dark Days Luminous Nights.
The photography groups festival will aim to “involve the community in building a weekend of workshops, exhibitions, live performances, talks and guided walks.”
Throughout the walk, it will encourage a feature of wonderful images through a “memorable programme built around art, debate, music and architecture”.
