Salford City Roosters have announced they have appointed Andy Daw as new head coach.
Daw has been brought in due to his experience as a player, coach and conditioning expert. He also has strong connections throughout the rugby league community playing and learning under professional setups.
The Roosters have also announced that the Club Captain Marc Jones and Mike Foster will continue their roles as assistant coaches, as they ensure valuable leadership support for the team.
Daw said, “I’m looking forward to the times that were going to have because we’re going to shock a lot of people.
“I’ll bring enthusiasm, putting the 1% into the 99’s.
“Last thing I want to do is to come in there and start treading on toes. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. And just adding to what’s already there, sharing new ideas and building this, it’s going to be something really big.
“I’m really champing at the bits to get going”
Salford City Roosters aim to be back into the National Conference League within the next 3 to five years. After having to withdraw their membership from the Rugby Football League in 2018 due to financial and administrative reasons.

Having to build from the ground up from the grassroots divisions, the Roosters are the fastest growing Rugby League Club in the region. With a long spanning history from 1977.
