A fire in Salford left more than 1,000 homes without power in the early hours this morning, that saw emergency services tackle the blaze.
The fire that occurred at 1:25am Thursday morning (7 November) saw two fire engines having to tackle the blaze on Lower Broughton Road.
Emergency services were quick to respond to the fire in Broughton, after an electrical substation could be seen to be on fire.
The fire in Salford started in the early hours of the morning and left homes in the M6 and M7 postcode areas, which covered over 1,000 homes, without power.

The fire in Salford was caught on the electrical substation, left residents in the surrounding area without power for homes up to half a mile away.
Residents were reassured that the power would return, as Electricity North West shared immediately on X: “We are aware of a power-cut in the Salford area affecting 1015 properties in the M6 and M7 postcodes.
“Our engineers are on their way to restore your power as soon as possible.”
Local houses had their power restored by 3am, with emergency services leaving three hours after the fire began.
