Salford Watersports Centre are set to host two Halloween themed events this week on the Quays.

The two themed events will allow guests to get involved in a selection of spooky water-based activities .

The first event of the week, will take place later tonight, with guests being invited to the watersport centre’s annual Halloween night swim.

The swim will take place between the hours of 6:30pm and 7:45pm, with brave enough guests being able to join in the spooky course.

The night will give swimmers the chance to wear a Halloween themed swim cap, use glow sticks, and they will also be offered soup and water from the water safety team.

The first event, the centre’s annual Halloween night swim, will take place on Tuesday, 29 October.

Participants must be confident open water swimmers, who are able to swim at least 300m and comfortable swimming in temperatures between 12-14 degrees Celsius.

And although tickets closed at 6pm on Sunday 27th October, they did share on their Facebook page that they may release tickets on the day of the swim, with tickets being found here.

But that isn’t all for the festivities this Halloween, as the watersports centre will also be hosting a Halloween themed paddle trip around Dock 8 this Thursday, 31 October.

The event named “Trick or Treat…on the dock!”, will take place on Halloween and will allow both adults and children to join in the spooky festivities.

The paddle trip will take place from 6:30-7:30pm, and costs £8 per person for both adults and children.

The event will be more suitable to those less experienced in watersports, as participants don’t need any previous paddling experience. Paddlers must be over the age of eight years old.

The night will be filled with fun and exciting activities, and will allow visitors to win a selection of prizes by completing a small challenges and answering riddles.

Fancy dress is optional and life jackets will be provided, but the watersports centre has advised guests to dress in warm layers and to bring a waterproof jacket.
