A man has been charged with attempted murder following a fire at a house in Salford.
A woman in her 50s was injured in the fire at around 5.15am on Tuesday morning (October 22) at Montonmill Gardens, Monton.
Police have since charged Nicholas Martin, 62, of Bosworth Street, Leicester, with attempted murder.
A GMP spokesperson said: “Nicholas Martin (28/08/1962), of Bosworth Street, Leicester, has been charged with attempted murder.
“He was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (25 October).”
