The first weekend of November will start with exciting free Salford fireworks events as Bonfire Night will be hosted in two locations.
Salford City Council will be hosting two family friendly events across the Bonfire Night weekend at Buile Hill Park, and Prince’s Park in Irlam.
Visitors can also stroll the Fire Walk, roast marshmallows, and explore a funfair with rides, food and drinks.
The fun will begin on Saturday 2 November from 4pm, with attendees being invited to join the three firework displays.
The opening show will be the “Little Sparks” for kids, followed by the larger Firecracker show, and the main display at 7:30pm.
However, Salford City Council have shared that there won’t be a bonfire at Buile Hill Park this year.
As they shared: “We’ve taken this decision to help us to reduce our carbon footprint and associated pollution, as well as offering you more space in the park to view our spectacular fireworks so that growing crowds can enjoy this event safely.”
But the fun will continue onto November 3, at Prince’s Park in Irlam with celebrations starting again from 4pm.
This years show will feature a traditional bonfire and another extravagant firework display.
Ahead of the event, Councillor and Lead member for community safety Barbara Bentham, said: “We’re delighted to bring back these events for Salford’s residents this year.
“It’s a great way for families to come together and enjoy the celebrations in a safe and well-organised environment,” she added.
Cllr Bentham also encouraged residents to visit the show, as she added: “Attending one of our events is a much safer option compared to home displays.
“We encourage everyone to come along and have a fantastic time,” she continued.
Public transport has been encouraged, however, Buile Hill Park is available for £5 per car with pre-booking via the Visit Salford website.
Mark your calendars and prepare for a fantastic weekend of fun and festivity in Salford!
