Flaming bottles and a brick were hurled through the window of an pub causing a small fire
Staff at the Oddfellows Arms, Church Street, had to extinguish a “small fire” after the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police are looking for two men on suspicion of causing arson and criminal damage.
No-one was injured and pub staff messaged to tell regulars they were okay.
Greater Manchester Police said: “We are investigating criminal damage and arson of a premises on Church Street, Eccles, which occurred at approximately 1.30am on Saturday 12 October 2024.”
Two windows were smashed by the brick and two flaming bottles.
“A small fire started but was quickly put out, and thankfully no-one was injured during the incident,” they continued.
Today Church Street remained cordoned off by police at the scene as police investigations continued. The pub remained closed.
The police have urged anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting log 211 of 12/10/24.
