Four former Salford Red Devils players will be lacing up their boots as they get ready to take part in the Betfred Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford this Saturday.
Wigan Warriors Tyler Dupree will be reunited with Hull KR players Niall Evalds, Sam Luckley and try-scorer Joe Burgess as they battle it out in Saturday’s Grand Final.
The fixture will be the first Grand Final appearance for Hull KR, after they were able to secure victory after a hard-fought 10-8 victory over Warrington Wolves in the semi-final.
The semi-final was won after former Salford Red Devils player Joe Burgess scored a controversial try to win the game.
Burgess admitted after the game that he “didn’t know” whether the ball had touched the line, but was adamant that the ball had “definitely brushed the floor.”
Meanwhile reigning champions Wigan Warriors cruised into their 13th grand final, with an emphatic 38-0 win over Leigh Leopards.

Leigh Leopards were the side that sadly defeated the Red Devils in a fiery fixture at the Salford Community Stadium.
The sell-out crowd were bitterly disappointed, however the Red Devils avoid the charging Wigan Warriors who look to complete back-to-back Super League victories for the first time in their history.
Former Salford Red Devils player, Tyler Dupree will be hoping to recreate their clubs meeting last season in the Super League semi-finals where Wigan ran riot, crushing Hull KR 42-12 on their way to the final.
Ahead of the fixture, Matt Peet, head coach of Wigan Warriors, was pleased with his team’s dominant display in their semi-final victory over Leigh.
As the head coach shared: “I thought it was a proper semi-final. I thought we managed it really well.
“It was certainly better than I anticipated. Defensively we did a lot right, we were more connected and controlled it.”
Salford Red Devils despite not making the final, will certainly be involved in the Grand Final which is set to take place at Old Trafford this weekend from 6pm.
