Countryside Properties in Little Hulton with increased interest in the city - Countryside Homes

The city of Salford has seen a recent popularity growth becoming a housing hotspot, according to research conducted by Countryside Homes.

The housing company, part of the Vistry Group showed that interested for houses on sale in the area increasing 418% year-on-year.

With Countryside Homes research gathered by SEMRush revealing that the volume of searches for the term ‘house for sale in Salford’ increased dramatically.

As there research also shared that the popularity had grown by four-fold, with the interest of a new build homes in Salford increasing by 267%.

The growth of numbers that were recorded between August 2023 and August 2024, were a massive indicator of the excitement and development that the city is receiving.

This follows the development of Salford Quays and Media City, that has allowed the city to become a popular hotspot across not only the North West but the country.

With the new developments around the Quays, it has allow surrounding areas within the city to gain interest also.

The suburbs of the city are seeing a knock on effect with areas such as Little Hulton and Walkden seeing a greater search for homes in the city.

With the housing company sharing that those suburbs have had a growing number of buyers looking for affordable ways to live in Salford.

With the exciting interest in the city, Joe Turner, Managing Director, Manchester and Cheshire East of Vistry, spoke on the growing popularity of housing in Salford.

As he said: “The growing popularity of homes in Salford is perhaps no surprise considering the thriving community and opportunities available here.

“People can benefit from being close to the city whilst also being only a short distance from the rolling countryside of the Pennine Moors.

“In the case of Little Hulton where The Fairways is situated, there has been extensive redevelopment of its historic mining land,” he continued.

With the developments across the city having an impact, Joe continued: “This regeneration has brought an abundance of recreational open spaces, employment opportunities, and great leisure activities. We truly welcome this increased demand in the area.”
