The song that was released a part of his 2024 EP, There’s Gotta Be More that debuted on the June 11.

The 17-year-old artist, who has previously performed at Salford City’s Peninsula Stadium last season for the fans in Bucks Bar, was delighted to be on the EA25 soundtrack.

From writing the song in his bedroom when he was 16-years-old, he was overwhelmed with excitement at the news of being featured.

As he shared his initial reaction: “I can’t even explain how excited I was when I first got the news, however I still don’t think I’ve processed how big of achievement this is.

With EA sports and FIFA’s partnership dismantling, the gaming company now label the game FC25, and is still as popular as ever.

And this seemed to be on his mind, as he thought about the potential reach of his song, Nightmare.

As he continued: “How many people my song will reach to through the game.”

Starting his music journey seven years ago, when his Dad got a guitar for his birthday he also spoke about the progress he has made: “I started getting better, gaining confidence, meeting the right people, gigging more and after years of hard work I’ve ended up here.”

And as he approaches his final year of college, he has considered a gap year and university but hopes to make “enough money full time to live off my music.”

With this being a turning point in his future, he may look to have that option as he shared his main aspiration: “I wanna tour with bigger artists and be playing the festival rounds next year.

“The big dream is to play Glastonbury.”

As he has already supported the likes of Jamie Webster at a packed out O2 Victoria Warehouse and Sefton Park.

With Alex also having the opportunity to play in front of his beloved Manchester City when he was 14.

As well as becoming the first musician to ever perform live on Sky Sports’ news, as well as features on BBC News’ Tik Tok, and ITV’s Granada reports.

With the amount of success he has found throughout his career, he was thankful of the opportunities he has since found: “I have got to give a big thank you to my family who have supported me since the start and are always here to help.”

The exciting news will become a reality tomorrow for the young musician, as the game is set to be released from the Friday 27 September.
