A new café and wine bar that specialises in high quality Greek and Mediterranean food is set to open in Salford this autumn.
The new eatery is called Kallos Café & Wine Bar, and will open its door this autumn in the new development of Cortland at Colliers Yard.
With the new dining experience being located between Trinity Way and Deansgate, the new Mediterranean cafe will draw inspiration from authentic Greek life.
As the new eatery will hope to capture visitors with their twist on traditional brunch classics.
Diners will be able to experience traditional pastries like Spanakopita and Tiropita, as they try to capture the rich, genuine flavours of the Mediterranean.
And this will be apparent with the menu including classic charcuterie boards and signature Greek & Dakos salads.
The café will be the perfect location for anyone, with the interior hoping to capture a relaxed and welcoming ambience as it hopes to create the full Mediterranean experience.
And it will take it one step further, as it will transform into a wine bar in the evenings sending guests back to the roots of Greece.
The new café and wine bar will open this autumn, and is owned by hospitality professionals Ioanna Antoniou and Ivan Milchev.
The pairing have a collective 20 years experience in the industry, and are set to embark on their own journey of a shared vision.
As Ioanna said: “Kallos Café & Wine Bar has been a dream of ours for a long time coming and we’re so excited to turn it into a reality this autumn.
“All-day cafes are incredibly popular in Greece, and we want to create that ambience in Manchester. We hope you like it as much as we do!”
And with no official opening date yet confirmed, Ivan was quick to add the story of the name Kallos, he said: “The name Kallos was inspired by the ancient Greek word for beauty, which perfectly encapsulates the essence of this café and wine bar for us.
“The beauty (Kallos) is about shared laughter, the stories exchanged and the connections made.”
