A dedicated cook supervisor at St Philip’s CE Primary School in Salford has been honoured with the LACA Apprentice of the Year Award 2024.
Lyndsay Knowles has ‘contributing significantly’ to the culinary experience at St Philip’s CE Primary School. Her approach, leadership skills, and dedication to providing nutritious and delicious meals for students have ‘set a new standard’.
Lyndsay has also been an ‘invaluable member’ of the Citywide Services team, who provide school meals to children across Salford.
Lyndsay expressed her gratitude for the recognition, stating: “I am deeply honoured to receive the LACA Apprentice of the Year Award. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of my incredible team at Citywide Services and the wonderful community at St. Philips CE Primary School.
“I am excited to continue growing and contributing to the field of school catering.”
The LACA Awards for Excellence 2024 is a highly competitive accolade, celebrating individuals and teams that go beyond in their roles.
The award ceremony, held in Birmingham on July 4, celebrated the best in the industry, with Lyndsay Knowles standing out among a pool of talented candidates.
Councillor Barbara Bentham said: “We are incredibly proud of Lyndsay for receiving this well-deserved recognition. Her passion and commitment to excellence have benefitted the team and the students at St. Philips CE Primary School.
