The voice of M People Heather Small and X-Factor winner Louisa Johnson will be headlining this year’s Pink Picnic at Peel Park.
The Pink Picnic on Saturday June 22 also features performances from Clubland’s Kelly Llorenna and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5’s Cara Melle.
The pride festival will be hosted on the Pink Picnic main stage by the iconic TikTok sensation Bailey J Mills and voice of BBC Three’s I Kissed a Girl, Charley Marlowe.
This year’s Pink Picnic aims to be “the biggest and best Pink Picnic yet” with “powerful words from prominent voices in the community”, including Salford Pride patron and trans activist Annie Wallace.
As well as the Pink Picnic main stage entertainment residents can expect to see community and market stalls promoting local organisations, charities and businesses.
There will also be activities and entertainment for families, children, and LGBT+ youth, inflatables, bar tents, food vendors and dog show hosted by CuppaPug based on Chapel Street.
The Pink Picnic is Salford’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Non-binary plus (LGBT+) pride event now in its thirteenth year.
The event aims to bring local residents, groups, organisations, charities, and businesses together to showcase Salford’s diverse communities.
A spokesperson for Pink Picnic said: “Salford Pride believes that everyone should be welcome to show their support for the LGBT+ community and embrace the spirit of pride. The Pink Picnic is a grassroots event that personifies the true essence of what pride means and what it originally stood for.
“The Salford Pride team are looking forward to welcoming attendees to this year’s event, which hopes to be an amazing day.”
Tickets for the event at Peel Park next to The University of Salford campus can be purchased here.
