Polling stations have opened today for Salford residents to decide who they want to represent them on the council.
A total of 20 council seats are up for grabs, with residents also voting for the mayor of Salford and Greater Manchester mayor.
Polling stations are open today (May 2) between 7am and 10pm and residents will need to bring their photographic ID in order to cast their vote.
Valid photographic ID includes a passport, driving licence, and some types of bus pass or proof of age card. The ID can be out of date providing that the picture still looks like you, however it must be the original version and not a photocopy.
