This year’s ‘Walk of Hope’ for the Motor Neurone Disease Association will end at the Salford Community Stadium this Saturday (March 30).
The annual event will start at Leigh Sports Village and the group will walk 10 miles between the rugby league grounds of the Leigh Leopards and Salford Red Devils.
The walk is in honour of those who have passed and are affected by Motor Neurone Disease and aids the MNDA, a charity that helps those affected by the disease.
The organiser of the event, James Hoskison, is a big fan of Salford Red Devils and organises the event every year.
Next weekend is the 2024 Walk of Hope, an annual event for @mndassoc arranged by @hoskison_james
If you can sponsor those on the walk, or want to join in, please contact James.
It will start at @LeighLeopardsRL and finish at @SalfordDevils on 30th March, see poster below. pic.twitter.com/T9Mdcuo7wv

He said: “Lots of people have lost loved ones to MND and the sport of rugby league has been well publicised with Rob Burrow currently battling it and the late great Mike Gregory passing away from it some years ago.
“We support the cause in memory of Phil Byrne who passed a few years ago with MND, and his family do the walk with us each year, as do many others.
“There’s a lot of advertising and spreading the word involved in the preparation, getting the message out to both Salford and Leigh fans and showing that we do care.”
