Salford is now home to the region’s only “Louisiana style” seafood boil restaurant, Crabbish.
The restaurant on Chapel Street serves huge piles of seafood directly onto the table, arming eaters with bibs and crab-crushing tools to make their way through mountains of food.
Crabbish of Chapel street is bringing a slice of Louisiana to Salford, after opening on February 5 the restaurant has already gained a lot of social media attention and positive reviews from Secret Manchester and Scranchester foods.
The restaurant has an unconventional ordering style; you first choose from a wide selection of seafood ranging from shrimp to even full lobsters, then your choice of sauce including Cajun, garlic butter and traditional boil with different ranges of spice starting at mild and moving up to extra-hot.
Your server will then pour the bag of food directly onto your table for a messy and fun dining experience, just don’t wear white!
Sides are at an additional cost and are typical deep south choices: boiled eggs, corn and fries to name a few.
A kids menu is also available with a mini seafood boil and their own take on fish fingers.
For those who have a hard time choosing what they want there is a section of set meal deals that vary in price ranges with some even reaching past the £300 mark.
Crabbish is open 12-11pm Monday-Friday and 12-6pm on Sundays.
DM the restaurant to make a booking via their Instagram page.
