Members of the public can get tickets for the event and submit questions to the mayor here.
There are certainly many topics residents may want to the mayor to address following the mayor’s decision to take control of many local bus routes in late 2023. Therefore the performance of Salford’s public transport is expected to be brought up in the question and answer session.
Recent figures have also shown that Salford has some of the lowest life expectancy figures in the UK and many will be wondering if the mayor has any plans to help deal with this.
Some will also want to ask about the axing of the of the clean air scheme and if the GMCA has any other plans to tackle air pollution in Salford and the surrounding area.
The event is part of a scheme undertaken by the GMCA where Andy Burnham will hold similar events in different local authorities across Greater Manchester. A similar event took place in Stretford around a month ago which you can view here.
