Malaga Drift Coffee Bar and Lounge in Eccles is set to host a relaunch party following a renovation from new investors.
Their reopening launch will take place on Friday January 26, from 4pm until late and will show how their new bar will meet “the current expectations of today’s customers.”
The Eccles venue had previously closed whilst renovations took place under new ownership.
Starting in 2005 as a coffee shop, Malaga Drift has developed a reputation over the years, hosting music events, open mic nights as well as chess and games nights for the community.
However, with a decline in customers, the bar had started to struggle over recent years. The new investment is hoped to bring new life into the venue and regenerate the customer base.
The makeover will see the bar close for six days as they see a new set of beers, wines and IPAs, on top of a brand new look for the venue.
Owner, Malaga Drift, said: “Recent years has seen a decline in customers, but now we have invested to bring our coffee lounge and bar into the current expectations of today’s customers.
“As we reopen, we will focus heavily on music with open mic nights every Wednesday, live music with acts every Saturday, quiz nights on Saturdays and even gamers night every Friday and Tuesday.
“We are also the club house for union riders bikers and they will be returning for the upcoming year”.
Jordan Drinkwater, a local guitarist, will be providing the entertainment for the night at the reopening night with live music.
It will be the first night of many for the venue as they are set to host a number of events between January and February.
They can be found on the corner of Church St, Eccles. For more information on their relaunch and future events, visit their Facebook page.
