Children and young people aged four to sixteen who are eligible for free school meals will be able to access a range of free and fun activities this winter, with the Holiday Activity and Food Programme (#HAF2023).

Some trips include a trip to the Lowry to watch Life of Pi, with hot meals and snacks provided throughout the day by Community Little Hulton.

At Moss Lane Farm, children will have the opportunity to do woodland activities, this includes roasting marshmallows by the campfire, festive stories in the woods, and arts and crafts – using materials foraged on the nearby farm.

Funded by the Department of Education, #HAF2023 is a package of support provided by the council, offering many free events which locals can attend during the upcoming half-term.  

A wide range of organisations have come together to deliver these activities across Salford, allowing age-appropriate sessions for the young residents. 

There is sure to be something for everyone, with activities ranging from: arts and crafts, dance, to sport and drama.
