Eccles Shopping centre is hosting three free of charge craft fairs in the run up to Christmas which will be hosted on Monday the 18th of December, Thursday 21st December and Saturday 23rd December. It is open to people of all ages.
It will be ran and hosted by ‘Art and Craft House’ which is a workshop based craft company. They run the sessions to encourage creativity in the community by teaching arts and crafts to people of all ages.
They offer lots of different events and programs in the community including already offering a Christmas Lights Switch On and a Christmas Fair already this month.
They are also set to host a Christmas quiz night on the 13th of December at 7:00 at Worsley Library. Also at Worsley Library they offer a stall in which you can buy hot drinks and Christmas pies and cards.
Pamela Pickard who runs the ‘Art and Craft House’ has said ” I have been running Arts and Craft house at Eccles shopping centre for 10 years.”
“The aim is for people of all ages including young people to be creative, in a relaxed atmosphere, where they can have fun, meet new people and provide sessions for families to participate in that is free of charge.”
“There will be crafts suitable for 3 to 13 year old children to do and this will cover a range of different abilities.”
The craft fair aims to engage people of all ages to get involved Arts and Crafts and make a difference in the community and make their time worth while by making some interesting Christmas crafts.
“In all of my sessions I ensure that there are construction crafts, design crafts and colouring crafts, where as in these Christmas craft sessions we will be creating different Christmas themed items.”
At the sessions there will be many opportunities to make lots of different christmas crafts.
“I already have a range of attendees including children with learning difficulties and disabilities. It is open for anyone to attend.”
“The sessions will be held on the 18th, 21st and 23rd of December and it will be held in Eccles shopping Centre across the road in the Unit opposite to the Community Art Gallery.”
