The Salford Red Devils fixture list for the upcoming 2024 Betfred Super League season has been revealed following off-field controversy around the ownership of the Salford stadium who they currently share with rugby union side Sale Sharks.
As speculation continues around the ownership of the Salford stadium, the Red Devils will hope a resolution has been reached by the time the season kicks off.
The Red Devils, who finished 7th in the table last season, will start the year away from home against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley on Friday February 16.
The sides first home game will come the following week on Sunday February 25 against Castleford Tigers side.
Salford will take on current champions Wigan Warriors in round 5 followed by a tie with rivals Leigh Leopards over Easter Weekend at 5:30pm on Saturday March 30.
The Red Devils will face Leigh again over Magic Weekend on Sunday August 18 at Elland Road in Leeds, despite the unpopularity of the move from St James’ Park to bring the fixtures down to Leeds. Salford will travel to Perpignan in July to face off with last seasons Grand Final runners up Catalan Dragons in a fixture many fans are looking forward to.
Salford will hope to start the year strong following the departures of key players Brodie Croft and Andy Ackers, who left the club over the summer.
One Salford season ticket holder said “we lost two of our best players to Leeds, so it had to be them first game” he then continued to say “we take every game as it comes” when asked about his opinion on the run of fixtures that Salford will face.
