The review is taking place in accordance with the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013, where every council in England and Wales must review of all of the polling districts and polling places in its area within a 16 month period.
Salford City Council wants to ensure the districts are “accessible to all” when it comes to voting in future parliamentary elections.
The review period will last until Friday 24 November 2023. Following the consultations conclusions, the final proposal will be published on the Salford City Council webpage in December 2023.
Feedback from this review is being particularly sought from individuals/groups with an interest in or knowledge of accessibility needs for disabled people.
