Salford City travel to Wrexham this weekend, aiming to climb even higher up the EFL League Two table.
The Ammies have hit a purple patch in recent weeks, climbing from 21st to 13th as a result of three wins in a row.
A Matt Smith brace secured a 4-2 win against Crewe Alexandra last weekend before a youthful Salford side came up short against Stockport on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy.
The Welsh side have made a strong start to their return to the Football League, sitting in seventh and four points above Neil Wood’s side after 12 matches.
Wrexham secured a comfortable 3-0 win against Crewe in their cup game, and are unbeaten in their last four outings.
Salford visit the Racecourse looking to claim all three points, a result which could see them rise as high as ninth at the end of play on Saturday.

Wrexham’s key players, including Paul Mullin, Elliot Lee and Ollie Palmer have all been injury concerns for Phil Parkinson, but look to be ready for the game tomorrow.
Lee particularly is a crucial player for the Reds, scoring seven goals this season, level with Ammies target man Matt Smith.

The two sides last met on New Year’s Day in 2019, Salford emerging as 2-0 winners at home in their promotion-winning season in the National League.
With the worldwide attention the Dragons have received since their Hollywood takeover, Salford will look to upset the odds and continue their hot streak onto their next game against Swindon Town.
Wrexham v Salford City kicks off at 15:00 on Saturday October 14.
