A charity that helps families living in poverty in Salford has warm children’s coats available as the UK is battered by Storm Agnes.
Storm Agnes which struck the North-West earlier on Wednesday has been the first named storm of the season with wind speeds of up to 75 miles per hour.
Wood Street Mission is a children’s charity helping children and families living on a low income in Salford and Manchester.
It shared updates to its X, formerly Twitter, page on Wednesday evening informing families they had stock of warm children’s coats during the current weather conditions, and as the temperatures drop heading into winter.
Well it’s a good job we have lovely warm coats in stock isn’t it? Brand new too #FamilyBasics #StormAgnes #Manchester #Salford #Poverty pic.twitter.com/hNtgnnEmPt
