A Salford yellow weather warning, which could possibly cause travel disruption, is to be issued tomorrow morning.
Storm Agnes is set to hit the city with 75mph winds, as well as other areas around Greater Manchester.
According to the Met Office, the storm’s wind velocity could lead to delayed railway and road services.
Conditions could also damage roofs and cause power cuts.
The warning also spreads across the West Midlands and the South-West of England, in addition to Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
It is in place from 7am on Wednesday to 7am on Thursday.
