Salford City have had multiple players nominated for The North West Football Awards, with Elliot Watt, Ellen Thornton and Lily Robinson listed.
This is no surprise by the nominees, with Elliot Watt racking up 15 league assists last season for the Ammies on their charge for promotion.
The Salford midfielder has already been recognised for his talents, being named in the EFL and PFA League Two Team of the 2022/23 season.
And although the Ammies have had a tough start to this campaign, the fans will know they have a promising talent on their hands.
With the 23-year-old showing his quality to also be named the PFA League Two Fans’ Player of the Year, there is no shock for his nomination for the North West Football Awards’ League Two Player of the season.
Alongside Watt, there have also been a number of nominations amongst the Salford City Lionesses, with Ellen Thornton being considered for Women’s Player of the season. Thornton has been considered for the award, after becoming the first Lioness to reach 100 appearances – missing only one game throughout the 2022/23 season.
Congratulations on making your 100th Club appearance this afternoon, @EllThornton ❤️

The defender continued to prove her value, winning three tournaments in walking football throughout the summer for both club and country.
She will be joined by Lioness midfielder Lily Robinson, who’s been nominated for the Women’s Rising Star award.
And once again no surprise, as she won the Lionesses Young Player of the Year, a quite remarkable achievement whilst balancing a first class in her university degree.
The pair proved to be significant to the progression of the team, helping Salford to a second place finish last season, only losing three games in the league.
The public vote closes on Friday 29 September with the event to take place on November 6 at Emirates Old Trafford.
