An appeal for footage has been launched after a man died in an incident on the M62.
At around 12.15am on Tuesday, September 19, officers were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the M62.
Emergency services attended the scene, and a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
The M62 between Eccles and Birchwood was closed in both directions whilst collision investigation work was undertaken.
A statement from GMP said: “Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident; or may have dashcam footage of the collision or of the pedestrian on the motorway; to make contact Greater Manchester Police.
“We thank the public for their patience and understanding whilst we worked to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.”
