Struggling Salford City play high-flying Notts County on Friday night in a titanic tussle between two teams with three points firmly on the agenda.
The Ammies, who have only picked up seven points from the opening seven games of the season, will be desperate to add three more to their tally and avoid languishing near the perilous abyss of the relegation zone.

Salford manager Neil Wood will certainly be feeling the pressure of this encounter under the lights as questions start to amass over his side’s equally surprising poor start to the season.
The previous two seasons saw Salford challenge to make the play-offs, but after seven games the Ammies sit in a lowly 18th place.
Salford come into this match without a win in 90 minutes for five games, with the only silver lining being a penalty shoot-out win in the EFL Cup against Leeds.
Meanwhile, Notts County will be looking to continue their surprising visit to the top two by taking all three points from the Peninsula Stadium.
The Magpies enter this match the inverse to the Ammies, doing well in the league having only lost once, while failing to win in cup competition.
Salford may seek hope in Notts County’s lack of clean sheets with only one this season so far as well as conceding the same amount as goals, inciting potential for chances.
Macauley Longstaff will be the danger man for the Magpies with five goal contributions to his name already this season.

Meanwhile, Salford will be looking for target-man Matt Smith to continue his good form and add to his three goals this season.
Tomorrow’s fixture will see the first ever competitive league meeting between these two teams, having played once before in the 2015 FA Cup that saw a shock 2-0 triumph for the Ammies.
The match kicks-off tomorrow evening at 19:45 at the Peninsula Stadium.
