Eccles Library has been featured in an exciting new announcement on children’s TV show, Blue Peter.
The library was featured on Friday’s (8th September) episode of the children’s CBBC show, as presenters Abby Cook and Joel Mawhinney announced the brand new Blue Peter Book Club and Book badge.
The library’s stunning architecture and array of books provided a backdrop to the announcement, which will see children from across the UK join an exclusive book club, with recommendations and reviews to get involved in.
Participants then have the opportunity to receive the brand new Blue Peter book badge designed by designed by Sir Quentin Blake, illustrator to Roald Dahl and David Walliams.
Six books are currently being recommended by the team, with a whole host of more to come, monthly.
Blue Peter is currently filmed at Mediacity’s dock10 studios, with the garden just a short walk away.
