Neil Wood’s men will begin their Football League trophy campaign away at local rivals and cup holders, Bolton Wanderers.
The Ammies come in to the game off the back of a disappointing defeat away at Morecambe despite their Carabao Cup heroics in midweek against Leeds United.
Salford come in to the game with injury and suspension concerns, with several players missing out on the weekend’s loss to Accrington as a result of injuries sustained in the midweek Carabao Cup tie.

Neil Wood admitted that his side were “threadbare” on Saturday and that “Tuesday night took its toll for all the jubilations of going through.”
On the loss, Head Coach, Wood, said:
“We can do better, we’re still five games in there’s a lot of teams that are losing games and we know when we’re at our best we can cause teams problems.
“We weren’t at our best in the first half, second half we were better and we needed to have more quality in the final third.”.
Tuesday’s hosts will come in to the tie in good spirits following a narrow victory away at Derby County on Saturday and sit 2nd in the League One table, behind Exeter City only on goal difference.
As well as the Ticket Office being open 10am to 4pm today, and 12pm to 4pm tomorrow, supporters can purchase tickets for our @TheEFLTrophy trip to @OfficialBWFC online 🎟️
