A historic, grade-II listed Salford bridge control tower is set to go up for auction with a guide price of £50,000- £100,000.
The Trafford Road Bridge Control Tower, which was formerly used to control the Trafford Road Bridge, is set to go up for auction on an online event hosted by Auction House North West on September 7.
The three storey building dates back to 1894, with the bridge connecting Salford Docks on one side of the Manchester Ship Canal with Trafford Park Industrial Estate.
The bridge was the largest and heaviest of the seven bridges across the canal, which marked as the third busiest port in the world post-WWII.
Both the bridge, and the control room were later listed as a grade-II building in 1987.
