An appeal has been launched after a man died and a woman was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Salford.

At around 6.30 on Friday, August 11, police were called to Albion Way, after a motorcycle travelling north left the carriageway and collided with a 25-year-old motorcyclist. The motorcyclist sustained serious injured which proved fatal.

During the collision, the vehicle also collided with a 25-year-old female pedestrian causing her serious injuries although these are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision occur, or the motorcycle travelling prior, and those who may have footage of the incident – including CCTV, mobile or dashcam.
