An appeal as been launched after a van reportedly ploughed into a flock on geese in Salford.
The RSPCA launched the appeal after the van was caught driving into the birds on Lower Broughton Road on Wednesday 12 July via CCTV.
Three geese were found dead at the side of the road following the incident, and two juvenile geese were put down by a vet because of their injuries.
CCTV footage shows a white van with two men inside it driving into the birds and not stopping.
Now, the charity is appealing for more information from the public because the number plate cannot be made out on the footage.
RSPCA Inspector Rachel Whalley said: “This sounds like it was deliberate, and totally unnecessary and cruel behaviour. It’s also against the law to deliberately kill a wild bird, so I’m very keen to speak to those responsible.
