An appeal has been launched after a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after colliding with a tree in Salford.

Officers were called to reports of a motorcycle that had collided with a tree at 2.05pm on Sunday (16 July 2023) on the loop line adjacent to Bridgewater Road.

North West Ambulance Service attended and took the injured motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man, to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

He has serious injuries which are believed at this time to be life threatening.

Police are now appealing for people who may have seen anything, or anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage, to please get in touch.
