The Height library has been opened as a polling station for today’s local election, despite it being temporarily closed for essential building work.

The library opened its doors for voters this morning (Thursday 4 May), for the first time since February 27. It will continue to remain closed until Tuesday 23 May to complete improvements.

Building work is set to see a meeting room, a community gallery and an accessible toilet installed at the centre, partly funded by a grant from the Libraries Improvement Fund, administered by Arts Council England.
