A street in Eccles was cordoned off by emergency services after a fire at a former restaurant.
Smoke billowed over Eccles last night (Sunday 16 April) after the fire broke out at a former tandoori restaurant.
Four fire engines tackled the blaze for more than 90 minutes.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just before 7pm last night (Sunday 16th April), four fire engines from Eccles, Salford Central and Agecroft fire station were called to reports of a building fire involving a property on Church Street, Eccles.”
“Crews arrived quickly at scene. Firefighters wearing breathings apparatuses used a short extension ladder, lighting, a gas monitor, two hose reels and other specialist equipment to extinguish the fire.”
“Firefighters were in attendance for around one hour and thirty minutes.”
