Students from a school in Irlam is set to make a splash this weekend as students feature in a BBC One rowing special.
Students from Irlam and Cadishead Academy (ICA) will make their TV debut during BBC One’s coverage of Cambridge University and Oxford University’s Boat Race this Sunday.
Featured in a piece on junior rowing across the UK, five ICA rowers will be seen meandering across The Quays during the special on Sunday evening.
‘The Boat Race’ covers the annual competition between the top two universities, a tradition which stems back to 1829.
You can catch students from Irlam and Cadishead Academy on BBC’s ‘The Boat Race’ from 3.30-5.45pm this Sunday.
