Salford City travel to Crewe on Friday night where they will look to extend their three game unbeaten streak as the push for playoffs continues.
The Ammies travel to Crewe sitting in the last of the playoff spots but will be wary of the teams around them who have games in hand, including local rivals Stockport County who play tonight. A win for Salford City will keep them in touching distance of Bradford City above them.
Salford come into the game off of the back of a comeback win over Newport County with second half goals courtesy of Matt Smith and Conor McAleny sealing the deal after Callum Hendry levelled just before half time.

Whilst the Alex are ten places below Salford City in the league, Neil Wood’s side will not be taking the game lightly. Crewe are unbeaten in their last six games, but have received two red cards in both of their previous two matches.
Following the win against Newport County on Saturday, manager Neil Wood said: “We don’t quite punish teams and that’s on our minds and one of the lessons that we spoke about to the players.”
Salford’s Elliot Watt comes into the match having been nominated for the Player of the month award for League Two following a string of standout performances. The 22-year old has the most assists of anyone in the top four divisions in England.
