Salford detectives are appealing for information following a suspected assault in Clarendon Park.
Enquiries are continuing after a man in his 40s sustained head injuries yesterday morning (Tuesday 14 February) at around 11am.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining head injuries and remains in a stable condition.
Officers were initially alerted by colleagues at North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to the concerns for the welfare of the man.
Police are trying to establish how the injured man received his injuries.
GMP’s Salford CID would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam or doorbell footage from nearby.
Detective Inspector Mike Sharples, of GMP’s Salford district, said: “Our officers in Salford are working tirelessly to understand the series of events after a man in his 40s was potentially assaulted in Clarendon Park.
“The victim is being supported by our officers and enquiries are still ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“I would urge members of the public who live around this area who saw something or saw anything suspicious around 11am on this day to please contact GMP directly and report this to us.
“Any information you may have no matter how small it may seem may bring us one step closer to establishing exactly what happened.”
