Pancake Day in Salford- Award-winning café has sold “too many pancakes”

A trendy coffee shop in MediaCity has “sold far too many” pancakes today.

Grindsmith’s  pancakes have gone down a storm this Pancake Day.

Commenting on Tripadvisor, one person said: “The pancakes I had here were the nicest tasting pancakes I have had.”

The café, which has been open since 2016, offers different variations of pancakes including banana, chocolate and a mixture of berries all served with cream. Toppings include bacon, chocolate chips and maple syrup.

Front of house member, Kat, 25, said the best seller was probably the berries and Chantilly cream stack.

She said: “We’ve sold far too many. There have been lots of families in eating pancakes.”

For anyone who missed out, the ‘fluffy’ buttermilk pancakes will be available to enjoy for the foreseeable.
