A new pizza shop and takeaway has opened on Chapel Street this week and marked their launch with free pizza.
Located just opposite Salford Cathedral, Pizzabaker, based in Ireland, opened their first UK store for hungry customers, and are offering a wide variety of pizzas, fried chicken, wraps, desserts and even bubble tea.
The CEO of Pizzabaker, Sean Largey, decided to mark their brand’s entry into Manchester by letting the public taste their pizza for free between 1pm-3pm on Tuesday 7th of February. He said: “It’s to give people a chance to taste the difference.
“We also have our own secret weapon too. We give every pizza a lovely wee sachet of spice to sprinkle over the top, to season the pizza to your taste, which no one else does.”
The new takeaway prides itself on specially making their pizza dough fresh every single day.
Largey also believes his chain of stores are unique in this way compared your average takeaway.
Mr Largey said: “Others claim it, others say they do it, but we actually make it from scratch. That’s where the ‘baker’ comes from in the name.
“We’re just trying to bring something different that no one else does.”
Pizzabaker also set themselves apart from the competition by creating their pizzas with the freshest ingredients that are sliced, diced and marinated in store, as opposed to being pre-cooked or frozen.
“We’re the only pizza chain in the whole of the UK and Ireland, that we’re aware of, that uses primal raw meats on our pizzas”, added the Pizzabaker CEO.
After opening their first UK store, Pizzabaker plan to expand their store chain to other areas of Manchester, Liverpool and beyond, with 15-20 jobs planned to be available in each store.
Pizzabaker’s UK launch means Mr Largey is optimistic about helping the Salford community. He continued: “Everything is about trying to give back and not just take for ourselves. We’ve got community partners that we work with, and charity sponsors too.
“Pizza for the people. That’s all we ever talk about.”
Pizzabaker also offer halal options on their menu, with all of their chicken and beef being halal, as well as the option of halal pepperoni toppings.
