DJ nights, quizzes and masquerade balls come to Salford in the name of charity

Tickets have gone on sale for three charity events being organised to support The Ceremonial Mayor of Salford’s annual appeal to help local causes.

Councillor Anne-Marie Humphreys has chosen to support Animals in Distress, Salford Loaves and Fishes and the Salford Children’s Holiday Camp through the events.

The events include DJ nights, quizzes and a Masquerade Charity Ball, with proceeds from each of the events being split between the three charities.

Salford musician Peter ‘Hooky’ Hook and M C Tunes will be DJ’ing on Friday 17 February from 7pm to midnight at the Seven Brothers Beerhouse, Middlewood Locks. Tickets are £15 per head and only 150 are on sale.

On Thursday 23 February, the Ceremonial Mayor’s annual quiz takes place at Buile Hill Park Hall in the park off Eccles Old Road at 7pm. Quiz master Steven Pearlman will be firing out the questions, and there are prizes for the first, second and third place teams.

Tickets cost £10 per person with a maximum six per team and hot food is included in the price.

And, on Saturday 4 March, the Ceremonial Mayor’s annual Masquerade Charity Ball takes place at The Lowry Hotel, Chapel Wharf, Salford.

Tickets include a three-course meal, live entertainment and disco, raffle and auction and cost £65 per person or £600 for a table of ten.
