Stars of Coronation Street and Emmerdale flocked to The Lowry last night for the Press Night of the theatre’s latest showcase, three-time Olivier-nominated play, The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
Katie McGlynn (Sinead Tinker), Alexander Mardell (Emma Brooker), and Chris Bisson (Jai Sharma) were just a few of the soap stars who attended the evening.
The night comes ahead of a month-long showing of Graphic Novelist, Neil Gaiman’s, play at The Lowry over the Christmas period.
Directed by Camp Siegfried and Eureka Day’s, Katy Rudd, the play is The National Theatre’s largest production since the pandemic, touring for over 40 weeks.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane follows the story of a man who returns to his childhood home, sparking the magic of memory and naivety.
Gaiman’s work includes that of The Sandman series, Stardust and Coraline. The Ocean at the End of the Lane was the winner of the Book of the Year at the 2013 National Book Awards and has sold more than 1.2 million copies worldwide.
