The ‘Christmas Cheer’ Event at Buile Hill Park featured festive stalls and fairs for all the family.
Yesterday (December 4 2022), Buile Hill Park ran a free Christmas event for all family and friends to enjoy the start of Christmas and meet Santa.
Rebecca Fairhouse, an attendee of the event, said: “This market was really local to us so it was great to see the community come together for some festive cheer.
“I discovered this event from Facebook in a Salford events group page, which always has lots of updates on different things going on in the area.”
The event consisted of a fun fair, the ‘Reindeer experience’, Santa visits, and Christmas stalls to get everyone excited.
Ms Fairhouse said: “There is something for everyone here, like an interactive snow globe for the children to explore, and the fun fair for older kids and adults to go on.
“Everyone was so friendly here, I got to have a nice chat with the locals that I wouldn’t get to do anywhere else.”
The stalls consisted of baked goods, fun trinkets, promotional stalls such as the NHS and Scouts and many other fun-filled products.
The event showed both sides of the current climate, allowing the children to enjoy the Christmas cheer but also keeping in mind those in need with an area dedicated to donating food to those who need it.
Rebecca said: “This Christmas market has been great for the cost of living because we got to see the reindeers for free, and all the stalls were so reasonably priced.”
The day was filled with the laughter and enjoyment of all the families that attended with the added excitement of seeing Santa and his Reindeers, a day which brought everyone together to enjoy the Christmas cheer.
