Former Salford Red Devils coach, Andrew Farrell, has died.
Salford Red Devils announced the news yesterday (Tuesday 29 November) via a tweet.
Farrell was part of Ian Watson’s coaching staff at Salford before making the switch to his hometown club Huddersfield in 2021.
He was part of former coach, Ian Watson’s staff at Huddersfield in 2022, coaching wrestling technique and contact training.
Farrell was a part of the coaching staff of the 2019 Salford team that reached their first ever Grand Final, as well as the challenge cup final in 2020.
A statement by Salford Red Devils said: “Everyone at the Club are saddened to hear about the passing of former Salford Red Devils wrestling coach, Andrew Farrell.
“Andrew played an integral role in our road to the 2019 Grand Final. All of our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.”
