On Thursday, audiences will be able to watch a special episode of The Repair Shop and a performance by Mimi Webb.

Friday’s recording sees Scottish musician Lewis Capaldi performing, ahead of the main show, that evening.

Also on Friday morning, celebrity fitness coach Joe Wicks is set to begin a walking ‘ultra-marathon’, starting at MediaCity. He is aiming to finish within 10 hours and arrive during the telethon.

For the live show, starting at 19:00 on BBC One, viewers can expect a three-hour live show.

It will be hosted by Salford-born comedian Jason Manford, along with BBC stars Mel Giedroyc, Alex Scott, Ade Adepitan and Chris Ramsey.

Highlights include celebrity editions of Blankety Blank and The Weakest Link. Graham Norton’s Red Chair will also appear, this time being controlled by children.

Dance group Diversity will perform, along with some exclusive sketches and performances.

Across the week, other specials are to be shown on BBC One. A special episode of DIY SOS sees the team build a new home for a charity as well as a documentary following Matt Baker’s annual Rickshaw Challenge.

Children in Need will be aired this Friday evening.
