Salford’s a bustling city, with so much going on and so many options. If you are looking for something to do this weekend, here are some ideas for everyone to enjoy.
The Art of Banksy
You don’t have to go down to the streets of Bristol to experience the work of the elusive and world-famous graffiti artist, Banksy. All you have to do is head to MediaCity to see The Art of Banksy exhibit.
The exhibition contains 145 iconic works of art from all over the world, including the infamous ‘Girl with Balloon’ (2002) and ‘Rude Copper’ (2002).
This will run until 8th January.
Elvis on the River
All-aboard the Princess Katherine this weekend for a night of the king of rock’n’roll on The Quays River.
You can enjoy a class of Prosecco and snacks whilst you listen to an Elvis Presley tribute act, as you admire the
lights of Media City at night.
Dance, drink, and take in the views, this is something everyone can enjoy.
Lark Hill Place
Go back in time and walk along the cobblestones and lamp-lit streets of Lark Hill Place.
Salford Museum and Art Gallery have recreated this northern Victorian street for all to enjoy.
So whether you’re a history buff or just want something to do with the kids this weekend, Lark Hill Place is an interesting, educational and free event to attend this weekend.
The Be Positives with Hannah Ashcroft at The Kings Arms
For some live music you can go to the iconic Kings Arms on Saturday night for an evening of music by The Be Positives along with support from Hannah Ashcroft.
The Be Positives will be performing new material and the whole of their new album “Everything About…The Be Positives”.
