The I’m a Celebrity Jungle Challenge attraction is set to close down only 15 months after opening.
ITV officials made the decision to close The Lowry-based activity park after it became “financially unviable going forward”.
The news was announced yesterday afternoon via the attraction’s Facebook page. It stated: “ITV has made the decision to close the IAC Jungle Challenge Attraction with immediate effect.”
Inspired by the hit show, the attraction opened last summer and featured Treetop Trails, scramble nets, rock climbing and ziplines.
In a statement to the Manchester Evening News, ITV bosses said the attraction had “become financially unviable going forward”.
The Facebook post continued: “All customers with future bookings will be automatically contacted via the booking email and fully refunded. Please allow 7 working days for the team to process your refund and for the money to appear back in your bank account.”
