A follow-up Ofsted report found a Salford nursery still “requires improvement”, after its last inspection judged it to be “inadequate”.
Ateres Elisheva Daycare, located on Park Lane, was found to “require improvement” in “all areas” during a follow-up inspection on 28th September. This includes “The quality of education, Behaviour and attitudes, Personal development, Leadership and management”.
Since its last inspection in May this year, Inspector Trisha Graham found that the 13-place nursery had “made some positive changes”, by creating a “welcoming…safe and secure” area.
The report also found that, whilst the nursery had begun to “provide children with high-quality play experiences” and create “trusting relationships”, some children had no access to fresh drinking water or adequate stimulus in the sleeping area.
The nine staff at the centre have reportedly increased security on the premises after the last report found children were “at risk of harm” due to a lack of identity verification.
Furthermore, the previous report found that a lack of behaviour regulation left some children to “become frustrated with each other. They often hit and push one another. Children do not understand how to regulate their own behaviour.”
Whilst the report highlighted the changes Ateres Elisheva Daycare had made, Graham suggested the centre focus on providing fresh drinking water at all times, and implement safer sleeping policies for children.
