Salford Red Devils have announced the signing of their latest recruit with Manchester-born Andrew Dixon putting pen to paper.

The 32-year-old broke through at St Helens before his first move to the Red Devils, where he captained the side and won player of the year in 2013.

Since leaving Salford Dixon has had spells at Leigh Centurions, Toronto Wolfpack and Toulouse Olympique.

Dixon spoke on his return to the Red Devils saying: ” “I’m delighted to have signed for such a progressive club like Salford Red Devils and I’m really looking forward to getting going with this playing group and staff.”

Salford Red Devils manager Paul Rowley also spoke on Dixon’s return. He said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Andrew to the club. He is the consummate professional and a fantastic person who I know without doubt will further enhance our playing culture and provide experience and quality to our team.

“Along with our other recent signings, I know Dicko joins us for the right reasons and is motivated, proud and excited to join the group.”
